yes i know all slipper clutches make noise , but went for a blast today bit of B road scratching around 100 miles but on the way back i kept hearing a strange noise , so i slowed down a bit but kept thinking i had a Harley behind me but at 80mph i knew that was not possible , but every now and then i heard this strange noise a bit like a gasket blowing . as i got to the traffic lights i looked down at my slipper clutch and one of the 4mm screws in the clutch had got away and was hitting the billet cover, lucky i have one of those all in one pressure plates so they are all joined together instead of the single alloy buckets , if i did have the single ones i think it would have locked up the clutch and thrown me off . so note to self buy some lock tight and go though all the little 5mm allen set screws and stop them doing it again
I can't believe the torque setting for these bolts is only 5nm. These are the only bolts I overtorque and use Loctite for good measure !
