I'm about to install satnav on my multi, and then discovered, that i'm missing the "blind plug" that should have been on the navigation wire under left fairing. Have anyone got an idea of what the connector type is called - and perhaps where you can get it here in UK?
Can you not go back to the dealer and tell them its missing? I did that with one of my pannier rubbers and they gave me a free replacement.
There is no plug. Just a couple of wires (white and black) linked to the ignition. They come with ends sealed with insulation tape and dealers often bundle and tie it up with the loom. Have a rummage around under the fairing and you should find it. If having trouble, post some pics.
Just fitted one on my 1098s. What you need comes from Maplins Electronics and it is part No.GZ98 cost about £2.50. If you do not have a local Maplin you can order on line. Regards Steve
There is a pic here for what it should look like: Motorcycle Info Pages - Misc MTS1200 Articles > MTS1200 GPS / SatNav However, the "blind" part is missing on my bike, so either I have to cut the harness, use cable thieves, or get the missing part. Needless for me to say, I prefer the last option... My looks like this:
Hi SMB, try this company, they are in the States but looks like they have the part you need, link below Corsa Technic Motorsport, Delphi Packard Metri-Pack, Unsealed 150
Well, i came up with another solution - to make me own female... Simply just some spares form an old PC cabinet did the trick, wiring harness not altered or damaged, and i can add my little USB port, that most likely only will be used for the upcoming Black Forest trip. Thanks for ideas and suggestions!
