Iit seems the RAF went to France for some training. They came back Today in a Coach. Drove into Waddington (reasonably high security as they fly the drones from there) they all pile off the coach in the base including the three illegal immigrants on the roof
WTF!!?? HTF does that happen??? So much for all the security measures eh, I guess they had to let me go too eh?
I trust in future is will be standard MOD procedure for troops to rattle a few rounds through the roof of the bus on boarding just to be on the safe side.
talking of local patter what was Fallon on about when interviewed by Kuenssburg on the possibility of any future allegations being made he replied "Giggity Giggity"?
You would be surprised how frequently base security is compromised in general. A base I visit on occasion has upped it's security after breaches got back to top brass. (girls were smuggled in via squaddies vans for a bunk up etc). The base security is largely private companies now backed up by a token squaddie or 2 on the gate. I have to be escorted when I visit now, damn cheek for an upstanding citizen like me.
time will tell, however, i could, in seconds provide many many links to Slab and Scon Councilors and MSP's out of hours and online activity that generally goes unreported up here or when it does there is NEVER any party affiliation mentioned. but why bother?, to parochial.
In one of my past roles I had to provide security advice to various forces bases around the country usually because a compromise had occured. Amazingly you might or might not have been stopped at the main gate; yet at any time of the day fences and walls could be breached by going, through, under or over.......I was initially surprised at how many trees outside various bases overhang internally - it took nothing to climb a tree and drop in via a branch; or there was stuff piled up against the walls so getting in and getting out again was easy. In one well known barracks, I can't recall how many times I drove in using a different car, driving round to the QM and picking up decent camo clothing and boots; then driving out again without ever being challenged.
Reminded me of a time when the boys on rear party (looking after things back home when everyone is off on ops) moved a local girl onto the camp. They'd hide her in the wardrobes if any higher ranks came around! Things have probably changed a bit in the last ten years but we would regularly bring ladies back into the camp. As long as they were not roaming on their own it was fine. End of the day they are just bases in (relatively!) friendly home countries. In days long gone by they had no fences or gates at all.
