  1. It's renewal time for me, Hastings who I am currently with have doubled the price of my renewal (£120 to £246), ok I have gone from a multi 1100 to 1200 so the value is more but I wasn't expecting double!!
MCE have come in the cheapest on go compare at £177 I will do a bit more hunting around before I decide who to go with.
Question is I have been with many different insurance company's over the past 10 yrs and don't have any proof of my NCB! I don't keep my old documents so how do I prove my no claims?

  2. You're lucky they covered it, Bennets couldn't find an MTS1200 so had to cancel 10 months in and lose a years NCB

Hastings must have proof or they wouldn't supply, so you give MCE your policy number and who its with (insurer not broker) and they will normally just contact themselves. But tbh not keeping old policies is mad, or at least a couple of years, in case you need to refer back imo

  3. Hastings will be duty-bound to provide you with proof of NCB

  4. Cheers chaps, will contact Hastings forthwith or when I can be arsed, got 3 weeks to hunt around.

  5. Just call your old brokers and they'll provide the proof. Coincidentally I have just come off a call to my insurers from 3 years ago as MCE want proof.

They were happy to help and sent it via mail and email.

  6. Your NCB should be on the renewal you were sent you can send that to the new company as proof
