Got back to my bike after work today to find that some scumbag has cut through the wires on my Ninja and tried to hotwire it. Stupid wankers. Clearly not very good at this whole nicking thing as the bike was still there. It left me stranded for four hours on the warmest day of the year too. I finally got home seven hours late, tired hungry and rather annoyed. Good news is I still have the bike. It wasnt the Ducati. The bad news is Im going to need a new barrel and wont be able to ride to Brum tomorrow. I would take the 1098, but I couldn't get enough into my backpack Although they probably wont be caught for this crime, I do hope they pay at some point in the most uncomfortable manner possible. This has been a truly interesting week so far
Lucky escape but a real PIA. Could have lent you 748 with Ventura kit for tomorrow if I had seen this earlier.
When I had a BMW GS I once had to hotwire my own bike because the ignition switch packed up. Fortunately I knew how to do it, and it was surprisingly easy.
Sorry to hear this, but glad they didn't get ay with the bike. Need to cut the scumbags hands off to stop them doing it again!
Thanks for your words guys, makes me feel a little better. Yes, glad they didnt nick it, but its a huge PITA. Had to bring the car into Cent London today as theres no way the Ducati is making that trip, so Im a slave to the bad driving of others
