Currently I have a unbranded neoprene seat on the 1098. I really like it, but time has took its toll and it's beginning to tear. I need to replace it at some point.... Any pointers chaps?
They wear quite fast, my DP one did the same. I went the superpole seat route which I like even better. Only negative if you are short is it does raise the seat height a bit. If feels strange for a while as the seating position changes from oem but it's a really comfy profile and holds you in place really well. No wet bum if it rains either unlike the neoprene which soaks it up.
Is that made from suede mate? If so, how long does it take before it starts to wear? I'm 6ft, so I'd guess it would be ok
I also went to the super pole seat from the Dp neoprene seat, the super pole is a great seat puts you in a riding position that allows you to move about on the bike and won't allow you to slide into the tank during hard breaking. It's made from a dence rubber with a very grippy surface looks good on the bike and I would recommend it.
Looks like this I'd only recommend it if your tall I'm a short arse at 5'7" and went back to the Neoprene seat as I hated it. That was nothing to do with the seat as such but the fact it pitched me higher and further forward giving the impression I was on rather than in the bike. Taller riders seem to love it, if you like the looks (its a bit Marmite) which I did and your tall I'd go for it. John
