Noticed that the neutral indicator was still glowing faintly when out today, I have had a plough thru the manwell and although the circuit diag shows the switch and the position of the connector I couldn't find any further info. Is this the start of a dash failure or is the switch adjustable. Note I have seen condensation in the dash panel but that was only apparent when riding in the winter months this and last. It will be going in for its 2 year service in July and will have done about 13-14K by then. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
It's most probably the first signs of dash "failure". Mine does it whenever one of the other lights is lit (normally indicator or low fuel), along with the left hand indicator warning.
Mine too, exactly as you have described, going in for its 7500 mile service asap and they say they will look into it. But I will be pushing for a replacement.
I've been due a replacement since about 4000 miles, but have refused to have it changed until the first major service.
Spoke to the dealer this morning and it would appear that this switch/sensor is adjustable (which makes sense) so it can be checked when it goes in for its service, the other possible reason could be corrosion on the electrical connections. The question is do I go for a ride or do I take the fairings of to investigate. decision made go for a ride.
