New 749 Owner Saying Hello!

  1. Not new to Ducati, but new to the 749! Got this one on Sunday and looking forward to using it! Any tips for a new owner greatly received

  7. This advice cannot be over-stated. It will transform your experience compared to stock suspension settings. It'll be like two different bikes.

  10. I'm on the South Coast, no idea who's good up your way.

    I got my suspension tweaked on a track ages ago. I made sure to make a note of all the settings.
    I had to improvise a bit converting the track settings to work on normal roads (i.e. dreadful tarmac), it was mainly a case of reducing the damping and slackening very slightly the preload. Ride height is left the same for road and track.
     
  11. Hi and welcome, had a couple of 749, still have 1.

    Agree with suspension set up. Never thought I would be able to notice the difference, but, £40 for 100% suspension to set the bike up at a track day, transformed the bike. Even I could feel the difference.

    Keep it well serviced and enjoy the bike.
