do you know who does the tail tidy's you see on a lot of the american bikes where the plate hangs further back so to speak? they look like theyre a lot further back under the seat unit and less obtrusive?

Red, mine with the Bruudt and a 7x5 plate. Just about the smallest I think you can go without bother. Also remember most MOT stations wont pass a bike with plate all on 1 line like a car.
my mot man is quite easy going tbf mate - i didnt have any rear indy's on my 675. i took the old unit with indy's still attached up there with me and he held it up by hand and gave me a clean bill of health just the plod id be more worried about. had enough of that lot for a while
