Hi my name is Harry, I have recently inherited a Ducati 996 from my late uncle. I have not been on two wheels for a while and it needs some work done to get it road worthy. Unfortunately I must have missed the que for when mechanical skills were being handed out. Can anyone recommend any decent independent, not to expensive shop in Derbyshire I could get work done at. From what I defiantly know needs doing is the calipers need refurbing, fork seals, fluids/filters and new belts. Thanks.
Thanks for your replies, I will get in touch with Nelly, I can not wait to see it back on the road. Due to my uncles illness it has not been on the road for a few years and i don't want to see it get to a point beyond help.
Hi harrybarry and a very warm welcome into our mad house You won't go wrong investing @nelly he will see you right Enjoy and when it's ready go ride
Hello Harry, lots of Ducati owners in and around Derbyshire but we rarely meet up, maybe we could do something to rectify that? As has already been mentioned, Nelly at Cornerspeed is the dogs around here, top man. Enjoy the bike!
When the bikes road ready it would be great to have a Derbyshire meet up, some lovely roads around and near here.
I have been out this morning and I went faster than 50mph in places, and I am sure 58mph was indicated on the odometer at some stage!!
Same here, had a good run out and only looked at the spedo when nessesary to find I had to slow down a bit. Steve
I am going to try and get the locals together Steve, even if it will encourage us to share personal details after the meet then I feel something will have been achieved, I welcome any ideas as to the best time and way to do this. Can't help but feel that when you are riding alone that someone else is feeling just as lonely and would like a companion for the next brew. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind riding alone. motorcycling has always been the same, but it is nicer to have the banter and company at times too. Thank you, Andy.:Wacky:
