Hi all, fantastic forum. Just completed on a new full throttle......didn't see that coming at all !!! Been without a bike for couple for couple of years, decided to try to go back to basics (passed my test on a Kawa ER5) and I always remembered how comfy and care free I was on that bike, bought a street triple thought it was good, bought a gsx 1400 thought it was good, then sold them as I just couldn't be bothered using them as a quick pop up the town bike which 90% of my ride time is about. I always felt like I had over gunned myself ... So I noticed and advert for the BM r ninet scrambler, decided that looks like its worth a try and as I was about to start a real effort on buying one the Duc FT flashed up on my screen. SO an old ER5 set to one side, decided to try and sourcing/looking at these two bikes. Found two, went off to see them. My head was basically saying BMW likely winner,.... complete opposite happened, hated the BMW, loved the FT. Its so light, the seating pos is perfect and don't shoot me for this but it made me feel exactly like being back on that ER5 ..... no frills just head up and enjoy enjoy enjoy. Anyway, question, has anyone thought to modify the headlight surround to accept the headlight protection mesh ? must be a way instead of shelling out for another one with 4 little lugs on ?? cheers all OG
