New Bike! Multistrada 1260!

Discussion in 'Newbies Hangout' started by Hexme, Oct 29, 2019.

  1. Morning all, thought I'd just introduce myself, I'm Tony Beckett from Waterlooville near Portsmouth UK. I purchased a new 1260s at the weekend, and am awaiting it being sent from the factory so a couple of agonising weeks to wait!

Have loads of questions to ask over the next few days such as Radiator grills, tank bags etc...

I've had a quick search and the Evotech guards seem good and I've had an SW Motech bag before so some ideas already!

look forward to taking part, keep it shiny side up!

    Tony :)

  5. Hi Tony, that wait between purchase and delivery is agonising, especially if without a bike in the meantime.

Is this your first Ducati? What bike are you going from to the 1260?

  7. Hi Dox, this is my first Ducati, always wanted one :)

My last bike was an XJR 1300 but I only had that for a couple of months, most of my previous rides have been GSA's.

  17. Welcome to the forum Tony.

Givi Tanklock tank-bag gets my vote. I have two (different sizes). This one is essentially the same as the one offered by Ducati and is a handy size for things you need to hand. The larger one I have is one of these, it's bigger brother. Useful for that extra space when I'm touring two up and the girlfriend uses the bigger pannier for her clothes etc. leaving me with just the slimmer exhaust side...
