Picked up new 1299 S on Saturday, had two great days of sunny weather and run up two hundred miles, awsome bike and quite refined after the 996's raw feel. Not sure about brakes they feel a little soft after my 996, is that just the ABS? feel soggy but stop fine maybe just need a lot more bedding in. Stock exhaust system and sounds just as good as the termi's on my 996, roll on summer
I think the abs does add a little fluff into the feel of the brakes, I got on my mates 748r yesterday and nearly locked the front when I grabbed the lever. The 899 ones have loads of power but the initial action is really soft.
