Hi Just found the forum so I've had a look around. Got my eye on an early 90's 900ss to start with, any thoughts?
Hi and welcome, yep they are lovely bikes so I'd say go for it. One thing I would say is that Ducatis are a little different to the usual Jap bikes and some people (me included) don't 'get it' straight away. So I would suggest trying to get your hands on one for a good hour or 2 before you decide. There's a place in the New Forest that has one for hire, I'll find the details if your interested.
Ah, just caught up with your other thread, no, don't buy that one! My comment above was more generally about the model, shouldn't be too hard to find a decent well looked safter one so keepyou eyes open. Good luck.
Hi and welcome. A carby 900 is a good way to get into Dukes and get a feel for what they are about. They can be god pretty cheaply too
Thanks chaps I would have it if it was VERY cheap but it's up for 2K so will probably leave it alone. They say that it belonged to James May!
I was looking at that Ducbird, More details please mileage, history, pic's, twin discs? Cheers. Dobbs
