Hi there Ducatisti. My name is John Hammond, and I live in a small village near Winchester. At 77 years old , I'm probably a bit on the ancient side to be rushing around on fast motorcycles, but the mind is still willing even if the body is a bit weaker than it used to be. Have always been into bikes , having my first one at age 12, (off road of course) I decided some few years back that before I became too ancient that I should own at least one Ducati. The inspiration for this was all down to seeing and also hearing the beautiful sound of Carl Fogarty negotiating Paddock Hill and Druids at Brands Hatch. A 749S in Fila livery was my first. That has now gone, to be replaced with a small collection which consists of a Xerox 916,a standard 996 ,a Monster 796, and the latest addition which is a low mileage 749R. Enough to keep anyone busy. I'm now off to have lunch with like minded friends at Loomies, our local Biker Friendly café, so see you all later.
Welcome John, i am a newbie this week as well. You are doing well at 77 keep it up. I have had lots of help from owners, as I only bought my very first Ducati on Monday this week (1997 ST2) If you need cam belts, I was recommended to go to Exige, just above on this thread. Enjoy lunch.
Hello John,I am 75 and still enjoy riding fast bikes ,don't intend packing in any time soon, good luck with your collection.
