  1. Just one link for new car 2018 on >

If I was buying a new car it wouldn't be now or anytime in the future what a pile of sh!t...

    Agree or Disagree...

my car isn't much, it get me to work n back it not even done 100k yet and easier-ly do another 100k+... Ive been old never to buy new, n now wait for the electric car are better and better looking

  2. liked the look of the Jaguar i-Pace, until I saw the expected launch price of £60k plus!!

new cars seem to have gone silly with their pricing, i recently rented a peugeot 308 petrol while on my travels and looked up its list price and was really shocked to see it was over 20k - for a little pug!! Personally, I would be hard pushed to justify paying 10k for something like that.

  3. Look ok that one must of missed that one (jag front, scirocco side, alfa rear)... I like the look of the new Toyota supra and mazda rx9, every thing else is dish water... that aston martin needs a bigger rear spoiler...

I think my trouble is driving alsorts over the years, driving them up n down the country and driving them off the ship etc , a car just a car, they don't make desirable enough...

  4. It's all relative. And how much dosh you've got. There are some amazing cars being produced today.

  5. Not really sure of your point? Is it the prices or the models?

  6. Get a Van and have a classic in the Garage, modern cars are pish with all the electronic shite which now writes them off instead of rot :)

Van, pre reg new - £13,500 50mpg average over the first 22,000 miles

Lotus £16250 9 years ago, now pushing £60k :eyes:

  9. That's true but still even with aload of money, the motor would go to the upholsterers and for a one off custom bodykit etc etc...

  11. sorry didnt see your post... price doesn't matter it the models more than any... nothing really desirable... trouble everything looks the same it like nobody fearless to be different...

  12. The trouble is with new cars and bikes for that matter, is PCP. Most people buying new cars just look at the monthly payment figure, so dealers charge full list price. The only advantage is that there are loads of nice low mileage 3 year old cars about.

  13. Vans are cool and I intend to run one when I retire. :upyeah:

Shit for getting into you local tip though. Kind of defeats the reason for having a van. :(

  14. Agree to a point, but not all is dross, there are some great cars out there in 17 and 18 imo

  15. York tip - 4 miles away, takes 30 mins to get there on a weekend, massive queues - can't get in :(
Tadcaster tip 10 miles away, takes 15 mins to get there on a weekend and let in, no queue and items emptied by staff too - no charge :)

  16. Top tip advice there for our Yorkie members. :upyeah:

Why don't you set up the equivalent version of the Michelin Guide for tips? Instead of 1 - 5 stars, you could give 1 - 5 bins. :)

  19. Well actually the hotrod shows in America have done electric hotrod before... but I have a 1930<> hotrod as a daily driver...

  20. Cars dont really interest me as such....had a company car 10 years back and pretty well ranted the tits off the thing for 2 years....that got cars out of my system. Ive got a little Toyota iq - free to tax, cheap to insure and in 8 years all its needed is 2 tyres, a set of pads and discs for the front. 34k on the clock (only used for rainy days).

As for cars these days....yeah - prices: way too high. I see car adverts for a regular saloon (30k)...im mean...fuck...whose (regular joe public) has got that kind of wonga to throw about (took me a year to work up to a 500 quid set of brake discs!)

PCP i think is a bubble thats set to explode....my boss who left last year lost his company car at our place and was going to another job where he had to buy his own car and surely enough was going to pcp. He did say (and i quote) "i dont know anyone that doesnt have a car on pcp...."

Our other car is an SMAX titanium sport and the only reason i bought that was i had some money left to me by my late father and, our car got written off the day after the cheque hit the door mat...plus we do actually use the 7 seater part of if quite often.
