What's the road like from Melbourne to Adelaide? Takes about 8 hours, apparently. Worth the drive, or just fly?
Takes 2 days, the great ocean road.... More than 1/2 of it is inland pretty boring straight roads through farm land, the ocean road is beautiful and about 200 or so miles in length. Problem with Oz is speeding even a fraction over the limit is a big no no so covering large distances quickly doesn't happen. Cracking country and The GP at PI is amazing, can't wait to go back one day.
yeh we drove from Brisbane to Melbourne and down around the ocean drive to the apostles (11 now, I think 1 fell over), didn't make Adelaide though. Totally agree with the speed limits. thank you for heads up regarding the timeframe Sorry for jumping on the post.
