Im looking for a new exhaust system for my 999, I'm hoping that I can pick up a Termi system with twin pipes as opposed to the box set up, any direction would be appreciated. Also open to other alternatives if the good folk on here have any advice. Many thanks in advance.
There is no such thing as a twin pipe Termignoni for a 999. All the Termignoni systems have the lunchbox silencer. If you want two round(ish) silencers (which look like crap, by the way), there are Mivv, Remus, GG and GPR.
MHP exhausts can do a full system with twin round silencers for about £2500. Desmoperformanceparts can do a replica of the Termi lunchbox system for £1600ish (both systems in Ti) I have a full storm system but have had no end of trouble with the can so no way would i recommend on of those. I've checked with akrapovic and there are no new old stock systems left for the 999. Termi no longer make a system for the 999 Zard do still list a full system again in Ti for £2500. I'm getting a system from Max (DesmoPerformanceParts.com) but as you can tell, other than waiting for a second hand full system, there is not a lot of choice. There are a lot of Termi half systems out there but if like me you've committed to the bigger 57mm systems then going back to a stock-ish one is a waste of time.
Don't hold your breath nick59. I've been searching for a termi rear now for quite some time. When they do turn up for sale they are so over priced it's quite incredible what folk are asking for them. I'm tempted to go for a gpr system but not to sure about the look. Each to there own I suppose.
If they are overpriced then what do they actually sell for? If for less ring up and do a deal - if they sell for the asking prices then that is their current value and they will only probably go up...
