Hi, Decided I only needed one bike and had a clear-out but it wasn't long till this GT1000 caught my eye. At first I was a bit unsure after reading about Ethanol but glad I went ahead - really pleased so far. It is a 2008 bike and cam belts have not been done so I guess that that will be the first job. Paul.
First job should be to ditch those original tyres, worst ones I've ever had the displeasure of riding on ! Otherwise enjoy
Nice bike paul the fun is just beginning, how many k's on the clock? pirelli phantoms were ok running michelin pilot sport 4's on mine
Thanks, she had under 5k when i picked her up. Compared to the conti road attack 2s on my Triumph they are not quite as sticky, suprised as i thought they had put Phantoms on the new Thruxton. Your bike looks nice, who makes the hugger you have fitted?
QB World of Carbon list huggers for Sport Classics, the previous owner had fitted one of these to my GT1000: Ducati - Sport Classic - World of QB Carbon - Carbon Fibre for Motorcycles
Love that two-tone colour combo... I was on holiday in Paris a few years back when I saw it's twin (on French 'plates natch) parked outside a Ritzy restaurant ... wanted one baaaad then!
