  1. Had my eye on the Ducati Monster for a long time now, finally got my DAS booked for the beginning of this month and passed last week (one minor ), then this weekend travelled across to Peterborough and bought this Ducati Monster Dark -

It wont be staying like this for too long though, hoping to get a tail tidy for the rear and get the number plate tucked up under the rear light, along with removing the front fairing above the headlight, then eventually a tank and fairing respray :D i just cant leave anything alone, but i cant wait to get started messing about with it!

  9. Hi Mate,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Ducati! I bought my 600 Monster Dark about 8 years ago and although I've had an ST4 (very under-rated bike, but pain in the ar*e to service) and currently have a carb 900ss (good compromise and classic looks), the little Monster is still my favourite bike.

It's done getting on 30,000 miles, all but 3500m by me or the wife, been reliable (only non-service items have been a couple of oil-pressure switches in that time, which are a known weak point) and taken me on a hassle-free 1200 mile round trip to France and back, half of which was in torrential rain!

Learn to service it yourself (not nearly as hard as the mags/dealers will have you believe) and ride it - Ducati's hate NOT being used!

    Enjoy :upyeah:

  10. Thanks for the comments guys, Bassets pole sounds good

Bagley996 - i will miss next weeks meet (if its on tuesday?) as its my birthday, but the week after myself and my mate on his 848 will be heading up for it, hopefuly you can show us an interesting route there?!
