Hi, my name is Bob. I'm not yet an owner but hope to be in the not too distant future. I spent many hours / days / weeks agonising over whether to go for a new Diavel or Multistrada (and even tried a KTM Super Duke 1290, a super bike but just too much time spent trying to keep the front wheel down!)....in the end I chose the Multstrada S. My current ride is a Triumph Tiger 800 ABS (road) which is a super bike, but I feel I need something a bit more sophisticated, refined and with a shedload more power! Out of interest, and apologies if this has already been covered (I looked but couldn't find anything) - what has your experience been getting insurance on the new 2015 MS - I tried to get a quote from Bennetts but it isn't on their system yet!

Hi Bob Just been having a debate with my broker (IAM Surety) and not happy - had a VFR1200 (4 years old, 170bhp, value £9k) for £185 fully comp... they wanted another £215 for the MTS... its robbery and exactly what all insurers do with any existing customer changing. I had to go with it - just ran out of time - and although it looks like I could save £150 or so if I re-insured, but in real terms, that would be much less.... I really do hate the insurance industry.
