Hello all, I'm Eran from Israel. I just got hold of a 1983 Pantah 600 SL, the PO was a bike mechanic who worked on and off on the bike for the past couple of years, sadly he past away from cancer about a month ago and never got to finish the bike. hopefully i can bring it back to it's old glory. Some work has been done on the bike already, this is what i was told: the frame was cleaned and powder coated front and rear calipers rebuilt fork rebuilt new rear shocks (not original) wheels powered coated (black-this will have to go back to gold) new tires (2 years ago) new sprockets the motor was not opened (supposedly it ran good before) but was blasted clean fairing parts are rough but overall seem ok, it's missing the windshield it's got some kind of a 2 to 1 muffler, which is badly rusted both fenders are missing only have 1 carburetor got few boxes full of parts but haven't sorted them out yet here are some images
maybe i'm a wimp, but i'll not forget that clutch action in a hurry, right up there with a Moto Guzzi! I'm sure it was partly neglect/stiff cable and part tennis elbow at the time.
Thanks all. I do have some questions... i could only find a Pantha 500 workshop manual & electrical diagram, can i use them to work on the 600? what are the differences other the the displacement?
