New Metzelers on the Multi

  1. First ride out this afternoon on the Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interacts that I've just fitted, and wow what a difference to the original OEM ones. Feels like a different bike - much smoother & a real "plush" ride, felt very secure & gave a lot of confidence. Any one else tried them.:upyeah:

(unless its me just trying to justify the expense & the fight i had with the rear wheel nut )

  2. I looked at these after my puncture nightmare, but tyre place did not have right size in stock so ended up with PR3's.

  3. I'll be trying the Metzelers when I've worn out my PR3s.

Mind you, any of the current crop of sports touring tyres would feel good on the road after the OEMs.

  4. I fancy a set of the Metzelers next. The PR3s are great but I think my braking behaviour is causing stepped wear patterns on the front.

  5. That could potentially be a tyre pressure issue. PR3s seem to be very sensitive to not being at the correct pressure and wear very quickly if they're not.

    This sort of thing?

  6. I have Z8's on my MTS and really rate them.

  7. I'm half through a rear at 3000 miles! Front still 85% ok..

Much riding 2 up an heavily loaded... ultra reassuring in the rain even in the heaviest downpours...

Not so sure in the dry.... pritty flat wear... L/R and top ...

    Not sure if I repeat....

  8. Nope, there is minor cupping on the tread, but that's not the issue. If you look at the tyre straight on, it begins to look triangular as the sections off-centre wear faster than the centreline.
