Well, the new Multistrada has arrived and it is being made to work hard. I picked it up from Snells in Alton on the 6th Sept. What a great bunch of guys, the best handover of a new bike I have ever had. I then had 5 days to run it in before it was back to Snells for the 1st service on the 12th, when a new filter and fresh oil was put in. The following day it was off to Folembray in France for a track day with the boys from Rapid Training on the Friday. The Multi equiped itself well on a track, and I managed to do over 150 miles on track, due to an open pit lane and 25 like minded individuals who did not want to throw their bike up the track either. Only one poor bloke came off all day. Despite my reservations the Scorpion tyres were ok on track, check out the pictures! The following day we went up to Waterloo on the back roads, exploring the scratching capabilities on some gloriously empty French and Belgium roads. After a customary dinner of Moules and frittes , it was a quick blast back to Calais in the morning and home to South Bucks. 1525 miles in the 1st 11 days of ownership. First impressions? I love it. It's going to be hard to decide which of the 2 red bikes to ride now!
Glad you're enjoying it! Lets hope your relationship with the Multi is a long one and not blighted by the issues others have had with their bikes.
