Hi all, I'll try to be brief and cut a long story short, but I actually wanted an RSV4 RF. I'd been saving for a while and I was on the cusp of purchasing one as well as a new house to renovate. I must of jinxed it by getting too excited - the mortgage advisor called last minute, they needed another £6k, just like that my dream of a RF was gone. I didn't want a standard RSVR (I've got an early Millie R) and as it worked out - which it always does, onto my lap came a ex track prepared 1199 for sensible money. It is a '12 plate with some toys and a lot of bits. For me it needed to go back to being a road bike. First I had to get a Termi. Then I dropped it to the garage for a spanner check, service, tyres, refit the abs and change over the exhaust. I dropped it off in April and she still isn't home, the mechanic said "everything I touch has got an issue." that mixed with rubbish part lead times has meant I've spend the summer without getting on the new Duc. The bike is nearly there now and I'm hopeful it won't be long although we do have some final issues - it is running far too rich, the abs light is flashing and it doesn't seem to want to change rider modes, but hey, welcome to Ducati life am I right...? In other news, the house renovation was finished before the Duc and I do have the Zard exhaust and track fairings available if anyone would like them. Good to be here. Speak soon. M
