Good evening All, I am new to the forum and new to the Ducati world. I have just purchased an 899 Panigale 63 plate with 4800 miles on the clock. It has Termi's fitted and I am wondering is there anything else that I should be getting with the bike. By which I mean is there some ECU that comes with the exhaust system etc... Can anyone point me in the right direction to where I can learn about the 899. Is there anything that you guys suggest doing/buying to make it better. Many thanks in advance.
If the termis are already fitted it should already be done. Performance wise? All depends on what level your at and what you want to use the bike for. For general road use it's fine out the crate. If I was let loose online with the bank card after a few beers I'd probably say blipper and rear sets would be what I'd get. Aesthetically? The usual mods, t tidy, cowl, clear clutch cover if you like tracksuits.
All subjective and what you actually want from the bike, i would say the single worse thing on the 899 is the rear shock, I would be looking to upgrade for both track and road, throttle spacers if you find the free play difficult holding constant throttle, slipper if using track, screen if you struggle getting clean air at speed and the big one is wheels as the 899 rims(rear) are very heavy. I would just get some miles on the bike and rectify the things that work for you.
Up grade rear shock @hyperdildo Has a k tech unit for sale, also lighter wheels as stock are made of granite.
It sold a couple of weeks ago but well worth the while and investment to fit a different shock than standard 100%

I fitted a talker screen from powerbronze on my 899 and it made a real big difference as I found the standard one to low. Not all aftermarket screens alow for the mirrors to fold in so worth bearing in mind if you need to do so. Pain in the ass to fit as you need to remove the nose cone to do so but definitely a big improvement and a tail tidy is a must.
Many thanks for all the replies gents, I would like to say the forum is very friendly unlike others I have been on.
