1200 DVT New Rear Shock Spring Report

  1. I've just come back from 3 days in and around Inverness. This is the first proper ride/tour since getting a new spring installed from T-Tech suspension over the winter. I removed the shock and sent it off to Luke with my weight, my wife's weight and also what kind of riding I do. Got the shock back in less than a week and was looking forward to trying......

WOW, just wow, what a transformation, I've owned this bike from new oct 2016 and use it mainly for touring and rides out with the wife as also own a Yamaha FZ1 for 15 yrs and about 130k miles as it gets used most weekends out with my mates.

This is the 2nd Multi I've owned as my 1st was 2010 1200 and always felt the suspension was better on that even though the new one has the active suspension. OK, I'm not the slimmest although have lost about 2 stone, now around 15 .7 st but even when out on my own I felt the bike wallowed and felt a bit twitchy especially in the corners when pushing it a bit.

After others on here found people that can change the springs and service these so called un serviceable shocks I got mine done and it has totally transformed the bike, The whole bike feels so much more planted and stable. I'm not the slowest of riders and having done about 1200 miles in the 3 days on some of the best roads in Scotland it has made me now want to keep the bike for another 6 years + Honestly the best £90 I've spent :upyeah:

  2. My ohlins is weeping oil, I just can't face more bills for this bike. £100 per hour is destroying me, last duke I'm owning. I'll be going electric hopefully next year or stick with rat-bikes till petrol is banned.

  3. Contact Luke at T-Tech, I'm sure he'll be able to sort it out
