After a short ride without incident on my 2007 1098s i have a horrible clicking noise which seems to be coming from the right fork. I can feel it clicking trough the bars. It clicks when i push or lift the front, with and without braking. I can see nothing that's binding and the steering stem seems tight. Everything seems to be working fine. I've made a video of the sound, here I'm just rocking the bike back and forth without braking. https://youtube.com/shorts/vmhNms7vAE0?feature=share Any suggestions? Found this this as well with same/similar problem. No solution though https://www.ducati.org/threads/front-suspension-weird-sound-1198s.58758/
loosen the right hand handlebar clamp and re-torque? could be coming from the clip on, have seen this before where it has had a knock or something and becomes stressed.
Well, this issue solved itself. When removing the forks the right one was making the clicking noise. After laying on the bench for a few days the sound was gone and have since then not come back. Must have been an airpocket or similar.
