Rumoured 700cc, will be announced as part of the events happening this year alongside the Multi V4R I’ve already mentioned is happening.
Not for me, it’s out the door price will put me off. Experience taught me a 450 SM would have been a better purchase.
The Husqvarna looks way better maybe production versions will be more attractive. The B&W swirl pattern looks pants too.
With the correct light weight it would make an ace road bike on Britain's overcrowded dilapidated roads.
My GasGas is pretty good, I was tempted to buy a Hypermotard but I’m not a fan of bikes of over 170kgs. I don’t get how bikes are so lardy. The KTM 690 is the bench mark IMO and a tough act to beat.
It was hard to beleive the weights of the 60's Monza/Sebring etc as in the Clymer manual, just over 200 lbs from memory. Even with only 20 HP the old Sebring used to go pretty well, I recall beating a suzy 250 (30HP) one day but the handling probably helped out. Here's a pic of a pic from the 70's. 34 mm carb gas flowed Dunstall pipe.Still out there running somewhere. Yes this new single looks to be pretty lardy too. When it should be Olivia Olio! Gilera Nuovo Saturno please!
I test rode a Fantic Caballero 500 on Saturday. Only 40bhp but only 150kg as well. Really enjoyed it. Plenty of go for twisty back roads. Like going back to basics and enjoying biking purely for the ride. And it looks fantastic.
