Hi everyone, I am looking at getting a new throttle cable for my 1997 748 Biposto. The outer cable has been rubbing on the radiator. I’ve been looking at an AS3 Venhill cable on eBay,I messaged them to see if it would fit due to the description saying year 2000 onwards. They couldn’t confirm it would fit .Does anyone know if Ducati changed the style of the cable at any time during the years of production of the 748/916 996. I’ve had the bike from new and it is the original cable fitted. Cheers Dogrose748
Worth checking part numbers on the likes of here https://www.stein-dinse.biz/index.php?language=en, to see if any part numbers have changed over the years. Wouldn't have thought the throttle cable would have changed that much over the years with the 748 though.
Thanks for the reply, I’ve looked on their website and it looks like there are a few different versions of the cable. Not desperate for the cable yet but will keep looking. Cheers again Dogrose748
