9% Hydrochloric acid.....I'd be keeping that away from stainless steel/most metals if I were you.. The only thing that can stand up to that stuff is titanium. Even the vapour of the stuff is corrosive.....keep it away from bleach based products too. Great product for fighting limescale though, Just my humble opinion
If you were implying that @Andy800 is wrong in your last post @Gary gibb , perhaps a read of the page linked below will make you reconsider... http://www.bssa.org.uk/topics.php?article=30 Note the statement 'It is advisable not to use such cleaners anywhere near stainless steel items' My understanding on this is that it is referring to 'Mortor Cleaners' which contain around 16% hydrochloric acid which are often diluted at a 1:1 ratio, which by my reckoning would result in a hydrochloric acid content of around 8%... Which incidentally is 1% Less than Harpic Power Plus contains (as pointed out by Andy) Just in my humble opinion
Well am not telling you to use it i have and its fine but thanks for the tip plus it was mixed with hot water so it could be brushed on
Just thought it was worth pointing out, much the same as Andy. If it works for you and your happy with it that's great At least others can make an informed decision having read the information highlighted on this thread
well once its washed off what harm is there it dont bubble the steel only burned in brown all gone ive done my 17 year old triumph and its came up like new
You can't just post a picture with those wheels in and walk away ;-) How the heck did you get that finish on them ?????
I picked up cheap set of wheels then went to work on them blasted them powdercoated them then added the chrome hardener with water jetting all the time added the gold paint back in oven then you get a hard chrome paint .
I used to have a t595 before i came over to the Duke Side. Loved it. Great bike, bit of a hoon. I stoppied it and parked it into the side of a van. Used Insewerance to buy my 916, which I still own today. Ive a soft spot for the trumpets.
