  1. Hi all,

just bought a lovely 848 never had a duke before. Had a couple of speed triples and got a zx7r for the track. Rode it 10 miles home at the weekend and got off with a massive smile on my face :)

  5. Hi and welcome to the forum, I'm new to Ducati myself and to be honest not sure how I would like it set up!! I took it on a test ride it felt better than my old bike, so I've left well alone, until I meet someone that knows what he's doing and has time to do it for me I'm more than happy as it is, if it can get better I'll be amazed.
    Guvs.

  8. Does this pay off for a base model suspension as well as the posh Ohlins stuff?

  9. Can't speak for this bike as I'm getting mine done next month but my other bikes I have had it done and made a huge difference. if you speak to someone like JHS racing they will basically feel the stroke and set it up for you providing your weight is somewhere near the standard spring recommendations.

This yields a massive return for very little work, on my friends gsxr they were getting him to listen , yes listen! To the fork stroke and demonstrating the forks returning too quick and the different rates of compression. The difference was incredible afterwards.

  13. Cheers guys!

yeah will get suspension set soon :) I know the last owner changed it slightly from stock.
Need to get belts changed about may time. Best to take to a ducati dealer/specialist?
Live near silverstone so have forza Italia at the circuit and ducati Aylesbury fairly close

  14. Alright Dave?

  15. Have a few friends in the industry who tell me that the moto forza guys are superb, 1st class! So would recommend; regards to the suspension u just need a specialist suspension firm with good reviews. Where is Colin from 100% suspension Based? Or MCT did a great job on a mates RGV.

  16. I once crashed quite near there and long story short put hole in engine case. Couldn't ride the bike and rac wouldn't fetch me. Luck would have it a guy from that shop came past in his van. Loaded the bike in and took it to my house! Great bloke so I will defiantly be going there for a chat ;)

  17. Baines Racing are based on Silverstone Circuit.

  18. Welcome Dave...get the suspension set up, find a dry day and go for a ride, about 3 tanks of juice worth will do it.
