Hi all, Carl here, currently on the sidelines as I had a stroke on 1/3/16, I'm doing good but obviously gagging to get back on my 848 which is sat in my house staring madly at me,also my black swingarm which was my next job to get installed to nearly complete the checa look of the bike. Cerrabellum was the part of my brain that bled so it's the balance that is affected everything else is pretty ok so for that I'm mega grateful and touchwood everyday. Am looking at getting my bike slightly lower as the 848 is a tad high and have read the 1198 1098 is slightly lower so would probably like to match those if possible, any advice appreciated,I'm leeds based and use ducati john in leeds, suspension will go to reactive in north york, I'm a man and large van work wise I move houses,flats,single items,day and night discount to all on here , I'm off road right now I need a driving assesment then a bike assesment when I'm deemed fit and safe, so touchwood I'll be back on my bike ASAP I'm training everyday to get better,have fab parents and friends helping me get through some dark days.i cannot wait to ride again hopefully with some of you......I will never,ever give up I will ride again...stay safe this summer all... Welcome aboard Carl, sorry about you situation, I'm off at the mo as well due to spinal issue although today I have my date for the op, yours is slow and steady good man, make sure your first job is making a cup of tea, not swapping that swing arm!!!! Good on you chap, every days a winner Thx Andy

Welcome to the forum Carl, haven't been on here long myself after only recently entered into the Ducati fray myself. Everyone on here seems knowledgable, helpful and up for a laugh... GWS and I'm sure you will be back out there in no time!

No worries Ian, you'll probably see me driving up before riding though, I'll be going up on a nice sunny afternoon when I get driving again, I'm 5'2 bald head slim ish so you'll deffo remember me ha ...I'm not 100% sure I have not spoke to you before? Deffo spoke to a couple lads last year and at least one had a ducati like your pic? I speak to a lot of people though
You have a great motivator to get well again Carl and just think how spotlessly clean you can get your 848 Take it easy and am sure all will work out well
