New to Multistrada 2013

  1. Hello all,

Just purchased my first Multistrada, a 2013 model. Not sure if everyone else has the same problem and what the potential cure could be.

I notice that the gear change pedal is too far away from my left foot, same with the rear brake pedal on the right hand side

If I ride with the balls of my feet on the pegs, the centre stand bumps against my left foot and my right foot rests on the exhaust guard. The footpegs are also extremely slippery when wet...not what I would have expected for this type of bike.

What to do? Upgrade to another rearset? I quite like the idea of doing a few gentle offroad trails (not major offroading) but if my feet aren't going to be able to grip properly or sit on the pegs without being hit by moving parts then I'll put that thought on hold until the problem is fixed.

Anyone else added more padding to the front seat section to make it a bit more comfortable and if so, which supplier did you use please?

    tks in advance

  2. Position of the gear and brake levers are something I got used to so now not an issue.
Centre stand - take about 1.5 or 2cm off the lever arm then it will clear your heel. I did this on both Multi's. Italian test riders have small feet :)
Yes My boots still rub on the Exhaust guard, don't know the fix to that..
Footrests - Try taking out the rubber inserts that can help sometimes.
I use the Ducati gel Touring seats and find those very comfortable.
