Yes, that old chestnut. I've got 6.7K on the original Scorpions. The rear still has tread but its squaring off a lot. The front also has good tread, but the RHS (roundabouts) is flattening off. I'm no expert rider but I can feel the tires are not giving good riding anymore, a bit hesitant to turn, and if you go over white lines they track all over the place. Is mileage about average for these stock tires ? So I guess I'll need new tires soon. Decent grip for everyday conditions but also decent miles. Id be disappointed at anything less than 5K Miles. I don't rag the bike around corners or do track days so ultimate sport performance isn't a requirement. With all that in mind, what would you recommend ? Cheers
The usual recommendations are Michelin PR6; Metzler Roadtech MT 1.0; Pirelli Angels GT2 You won't go wrong with those.
