well done, you got it linked properly now Okay watched the video now, glad you warmed the bike up before draining. However its not advicable to change oil early or the oil doesn't pick up the contaminants. But it's your bike & you're choice of course. When you added the oil filter I am glad you pre-filled it up & nicely oiled gasket edge. 11nm is just hand-tight imho'
Thanks for the input. I tightened the filter pretty tight with my hand and still had about half a turn with the torque wrench. I just feel better about torquing things down. As for changing the oil more frequently. The oil was changed by the dealer at 600 miles. When I saw the oil plug , it had metal shavings. This bike had 3700 miles when I decided to do the next change, no shaving at all. I personally have always changed my oil on my bikes probably more than I should. At least I know it is clean. Oil is cheap, engines are not. It really depends on how hard you ride the bike. I tend to ride it aggressively through canyons and stuff. If you ride mellow, then the Ducati recommended 7500 mile service should be good.
I had the dealer changed the oil at 600 miles just like anyone. The odo clocked at 1,100 at the moment and it's already brownish from the metal shaving so I think I will have the oil changed when the odo at 2,000 miles. I also ride quite aggressively so I don't mind changing the oil early. It always feels good to ride the bike with fresh oil.
