Newbie from Aldershot Ducati 748

  1. Hi everyone!
    My name is Alex and recently bought a Ducati 748. I'm new to the bike world,
    but with your help and information available on this forum I hope my Ducati ownership
    will be a pleasant one!
    I will get a journal on the website later on.

    Yes, it is my first proper bike and i'm taking my A license course as we speak. I also own a couple of other cars from which my favourite one is a 1998 M3.
    I know some of you might think its silly to buy the bike before getting the license first however I am confident that I will pass and safe on the road.
    I always loved the ducati and wanted to buy a 748 last year but just couldn't resist the temptation.
    The bike is a 2002 with 13k miles, full service history and doesnt have any issues with the rockers. Has loads of carbon bits, the termignoni exhaust and chip, new tyres, brakes and timing belts.

  12. Passed my cbt, theory with full marks, Mod1 with no advisories and 55km/h throught the swerve in the rain.
    Mod 2 test booked on monday.
    Bike had a new battery fitted but its dead now. Probably because i left the lights on by mistake or havent started the bike in long time.
    Jumpstart or trickle charger?

  13. Good luck with your test. I'd put it on an Optimate or similar type of trickle charger first if you don't need to ride it straight away. Hope to see you around, as I'm just the other side of Farnham, and also have a 748s

  15. I bought an R6 the afternoon I passed my CBT !!! On a Monday past the test by the Friday so ur not the only one enjoy,,,!

  16. Well done. I've a 748SPS and am closish to you in Haslemere. Some of the fellas I generally ride with are from the Aldershot, Farnborough area. We meet around Loomies, ping me a note if ever you want a bimble around with a group.

    Got the bike started yesterday.What a lovely sound.Did a little video too :)
    I'm going to to start a thread in the projects area as I dont want to be told of by the moderators for using the "newbie" one.
    I will post the link for the new thread here shortly
