Newbie From Chislehurst Kent.

  1. Good morning all,
Just a quick introduction, I’m Wazza from Chislehurst on the Kent S.E. London borders. Had many bikes over many years my last being the new Honda hornet. I sold that a couple of years ago leaving me now bikeless. However before that I has a 03 749 which i owned for a few years and absolutely loved. Now skipping forward to present day I find myself wanting.
So my reason for signing up to this forum? It’s obviously it’s to indulge myself in everything Ducati but I also want to gain some useful information, hints, tips and guidance from the wealth of information that you guys and girls possess with regards to my next purchase. I’m sure this question has been debated many times but my dilemma is should I go with the older classic 748/996 iconic models or a newer 848/1098 bike?

Thanks for reading, I look forward to the replies.

    Wazza

  2. Morning wazza,I used to live in a house called New World/yester road many, many moons ago:upyeah:anyway back to the important bit...motorcycles.The permutations with the ducati brand over the decades is endless and if the opportunity arises try everything out at least once.:upyeah:You can't go wrong with a classic & modern motorcycle at the sametime for the experience.

  8. Welcome

Buy a classic and it might hold it's value (if that's important to you),

Buy newer and it might ride / perform better - Horses for Courses

  19. Welcome Wazza. Buy either of those genre and, provided you look after it, you’ll not lose money. If it were me, I’d go 748/916/996/998 but then Im biased.:)
