Hi all, Had my first shot of a ducati at the beginning of the year (959) and was instantly hooked. I had been looking at either getting a 899 or 1299 but opted to go for something a bit older. So at the weekend I purchased a 2011 1198 base Even managed to get an obligatory bin in the photo. Also have a Gen 2 Tuono which I've had for 4 years keeping it company in the garage. Just need to wait patiently on spring now.

Hi Ben, Thanks. No I haven't been out on it yet I'm ashamed to say, can't bring myself to take it out with all the salt and crap on the roads...I'm sure my patience will be rewarded. I'm looking forward to comparing it to the Tuono which I love and is pretty well setup. I'm expecting a fair bit more power and brutality
They are brutal bikes, respect it for what it is and be careful with the throttle and you'll be fine though... I'll look forward to a post with your initial thoughts after the first outing on it!
