Hello, finally after many a failed attempt I have bought a new 848 EVO. I previously rode a 2012 S1000rr which I never 100% got on with (although it was a serious bit of kit). I have had lots of bikes over the years including CBR's, GSXR's an SP2 and even a couple of BMW GS's. I love all bikes, but the Ducati 848/1098 was a bike that I really lusted after. I decided after owning the S1000rr and riding in the UK and Germany that 140bhp is about perfect for the UK roads and Cadwell park where I spend most of my riding time, any more power and its wasted in my hands (although power wheelies are a lot easier with 190bhp I hope to be able to bring something to forum and look fwd to getting to know the Ducatisti.
Welcome Beamish - I'm a Fenland lad originally (born in Peterborough) - All those straight & flat fen raods - well at least the ones that havent subsided into the swamp - Good luck with the Ducati
Hello and welcome. Totally loved my SP2 - only sold it cos thought my riding days were over after i crashed my blade, curiously enough, up on the fens!! congrats on your new bike, hope you enjoy as much as I'm enjoying my 749 - which is quite a lot lol
