So here's my Q. Got a monster 750 2002 with only 6000 on her now She jumpy as hell but no wheel lift WHY? I'm 180 lbs n I might just be too easy on her n playing too lo in the RPMS missin the sweet spot but I'm really MAKIN sure she's pushing enough power (for a stock ride) or somethin might not b right w her IM NEW TO DUCATI NO TO SCOOTERS..

22mph, 1st gear, shut throttle then bang it openall the way, cover rear brake. Come up easy then...just be ready. Or clutch it
Order up new chain and sprockets and a set of head race bearings while your practising. Or learn to use the clutch. Actually my KTM's quite easy to wheelie off the throttle. You can help it up with a tug on the bars without being too violent. Don't listen to me though I'm rubbish at wheelies. I cheat and find crests..
I'm not really looking to wheelie so much as I'm looking for that man to work and I may just be a little easy on the throttle I don't like tearing shit up
So by not tearing shit up I'm looking for the power really rather than the clutch snap but thanks everybody I appreciate it
Here's my last question for the day this thing is fuel injected I assume there's a computer somewhere on here is there a program I can buy to adjust my jets or do I have to take it in this is an O2 750 monster I'm thinking no one has looked at it in years it might help if I take it and have it checked but I don't feel like dropping a grand in it
If that's the case then you will need to stop and arrange servicing the engine and replacing the timing belts before too much engine fun/abuse. You might need to think about where your power is going and your protection is coming from... a fresh pair of plugs, airfilter, tune up and new belts will allow you to crack on and enjoy the bike. Also think about wheel / head bearings, chain and sprockets and tyres if it's been laid up for a while. And I'm confused... you're called Irishprick, but seem to exhibit all of the outward signs of being a Merkin... how does this work?
Hey Irishprick, what no. toothed sprocket is on the rear of your bike? Me thinks it may be on the small side if it will not lift the front up without resorting to redlining and then dropping the clutch, we used to do that with AP50,s with spectacular effect!!!! Rock on Bro! Wheelie the Bastard!
