Newbie In Bagshot, Surrey

  1. Afternoon, all.

I am very pleased to be joining this great forum, which I have been watching for a little while.

I've had many bikes over the years, but only half a Ducati previously (Cagiva Elefant 750 Lucky Explorer - why did I ever sell that bike..).

I'm based in Bagshot on the border of Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire in the UK.

I recently bought a Monster 620ie with a view to doing some interesting adaptations. It has Termignoni carbon cans and I don't think I've ever heard a better sound coming from a bike!

I'll have quite a few questions, please bear with me as I find my feet in Ducati land.

    Cheers,

    Paul

  15. Well here she is. Maybe someone recognises her, the previous owner could quite easily have been a member of Ducati Forum, I suppose.

Although my intention was to keep her off the road during the poorer weather (I'm lucky enough to have another bike), I have been using her exclusively just because I find her so entertaining and engaging to ride.

On Saturday I was leaving a non-biking mate's house when he said "go on then, let's hear it". As I started her up and blipped the throttle, his car alarm went off. I found the experience oddly satisfying.... ;-)

I do have some quite extensive modifications planned (more of that later) which mean I'll have some carbon bits to sell in the near future.
