Hello Going through mid life rethink and would like to get back in the saddle. I'm hankering after a Multi 950. Any advice as to what to select with it from new would be most welcome. I was thinking of selecting an alarm and a GPS, does it come with an alarm and what GPS would you recommend please? Is there anything else I should be considering before I sign on the dotted line please. Many thanks Mark
Welcome Mark...Best option you can select is the 1200 engine Enjoy the new bike PS, this has come up recently but Garmin or Tomtom both good, I personally use a Garmin 390LM, and its been great in both UK and Europe so far, plus has free lifetime maps and is rain proof. Not sure on alarms though ?? Someone else we be along soon I'm sure
Welcome, please join the map linked below. The dealers are certified BikeTrac installers & they also now do RoadLok front disc locks, fuck the alarm. You want it silent so they drop the bike off locally & wait 24hours to see if its got a gps system fitted. Thereby giving you a fighting chance of it back home. All stuff should be requested fitted for free & 10% off, they might keep offering you discount if you state you are going go to town blinging the bike. Which might be little white lie but helps do business in both respects. Enjoy BikeTrac ROADLOK Motorcycle Dealer | Buckinghamshire | Aprilia, Kawasaki, Yamaha. Ducati Forum
Garmin 595LM & a ducati dash mount although the original developer made the Navihalter. For which we wish him happy healthy returns to biking, him&wife suffered bad motorbike accident earlier in 2016. As for the final thing, get warranty extension as all companies suffer from the friday blues. Sod it heres my enduro blinged up so far. http://ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/race-exhaust-video.49933/
If it's just a "hankering" but you're looking at buying new from a dealer, then I'd make sure to do some extensive roadtesting before signing! Even if you restrict your choice to Ducati, then it must be an opportunity to compare with the 1200 (as suggested earlier) and perhaps the Diavel too?
