Hello all I’ve just bought myself a 749 wanted one for a fair few years now. Having owned various rice burners and some iconic 2 strokes I’ve moved on is there someone on here that can advise on cheapest exact belts and has anyone got a crank tool for sale or dimensions so I can make one. The bike I’ve bought has apparently had belts and valve shims done @16900miles. But I’m a bit wary I know duc say every 6k or two years for belts is there any evidence of belt failure if left just a question cheers for now Jolly
Cheapest place for Exact Fit belts is on here by Subscribing: see link https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/exact-fit-timing-belts-forum-subscriber-discount.38123/ Welcome
Cheers guys had to ride it home in torrential rain so it’s in the garage in a fair few bits for a deep clean and really what I want to do is ride it. Leaking valve cover done, half cleaned the rest intention is to get in the garage before the mrs wakes up and put it all back together and then hope we get a bit of sun yipee
Welcome Jolly. +1 for what Exige says above, you’ll save the subscription cost as soon as you buy the belts, also no ads With regards to changing them every 2 yrs for the cost of the belts why risk a blown engine? It’s easy enough to do yourself. ps. We like pictures of bikes. pps. And girls ppps. And girls on bikes pppps, don’t forget bins in the pic for Ducbird
