  1. Hi folks, Just popped up to say hello. I dont own a Ducati yet but i am in the process of purchasing one from a shop.
I could do with some help though as the bike im getting is a 2004 749 Bip and it is in excellent condition but the shop does not have any service history for it so is this a big problem and best to walk away and find another or there a way of chasing up any history?
    Thanks Paul

  2. If the price is right. How many miles. What happened to any service history? If in any doubt, walk away. There will always be another one.Welcome,by the way.

  3. It only got just over 6k on it, Shop said it never came in with any history and have told me i should be able to get it from Ducati somehow ?

  4. Tell them to get the history from Ducati otherwise you won't buy it.

    Welcome anyway fast David :)

  5. I have got to ring them tomorrow so i will ask the question.
Is it a big problem having no history on a Ducati ? Never bothered me on my old bikes as i do all my servicing myself :)

  6. You wanna know the belts have recently been done.

  7. I asked that question already and they dont no as it came in as a px.
I priced belts up and they about £120 so that is something i could do myself

  8. With 6k on,it hasnt had time to have much missed. It gives you something to bargain with.

  9. Hello and welcome to the mad house :)

  10. Hello & welcome

  11. Thanks for the warm welcomes
I have found out that the bike came from Edinburgh so i have googled and Ian Murray is the official service dealer up there so i am going to ring tomorrow to see if they have any info on the bike?
