Nexx helmets

  1. Anyone owned a Nexx helmet before? I'm torn between the Nexx XR2 Carbon and the Shoei XR1100...

Link for the XR2 Carbon that I want for those interested...

My main fear is that neither will provide much in the touring position when sat on the Multi which will give lots of noise.

  2. I've got a Nexx Carbon. Good visibility, good quality, wide aperture up and down, light weight compared to a Shoei, fits a Shoei head but pads supplied to custom fit. Good ventilation, worse than Shoei on noise but I wear earplugs so not a biggie. On balance I prefer it for 2 reasons- I can see the road out of the top of the visor (999) and it is lighter.

  3. I found the XR1100 had a funny lip at the rear that rubbed on my leathers, wasn't comfortable. I checked out NEXX but wasn't sure about them, they didn't have ACU gold approval at that point but may have changed. Went Arai Quantum in the end.

  4. I think I will buy one in January. I will indeed post on here and let you know how it gets on with the Multi.

  5. Pardon my ignorance but AGV did an xr2. I had one for 6 years and loved it until I had it nicked along with my beautiful Nankai gloves.

  6. Have a look at the Premier, re, carbon/titanium weave hat. I just got one after balking at paying for a new Arai and I'm really very impressed. Not too loud, but I think most of the noise was from the screen deflecting wind upwards.

I don't have anything like the noise from the lid on other bikes
