748 Nitron R3 Reservoir Location

  1. just about to order a r3 nitron.
I've rang them and asked where the reservoir would be located and they said it'll come with suitable brackets but the guy couldn't tell me anymore than that.

anyone have a pic of the location? I can't really visualise where it would be located. there doesn't look to be enough room on the left side of the subframe

  2. Left side of frame is best. It doesn’t hamper your leg position. You can fit under seat as well with some juggling. Trial and error really. Good shock though if it’s like the one pictured.

  3. thanks mate. I'm not too keen on the reservoir from a cosmetic point of view on the left side but will be tidy under the seat.

  4. You may have to relocate a relay or two but it does fit.

  5. Couldn't understand why they make um like that and not the normal way

  6. Because this way they don't have to make a damper bottom just for one model but use the same thing for lots of different bikes.

  7. just to complicate the decision I've been given a discount code for a new ohlins 143 shock with the remote preload adjuster which makes the ohlins only £270 more expensive than the nitron R3.

are these 143 shocks proper ohlins inside and not just base ohlins which come with the bikes?
