  3. I can't comment on those options but I've just had K-tech kit in the front end of my 1098 and it feels fantastic.
I could carry the brake right up to the apex on track and the front felt planted.
Might be another option for you.

  4. the nitron kit seems very good value for money looked on there website and not sure if they do a fork kit for the 1198 though!!

  5. If it's not listed they can probably build it for you, they scratch built a shock for my rc30 some years ago. Great job.

  12. I know nothing about any of this but I obviously have an option regardless. Sounds like a sideways change so is based on personal preference/ bordem?

  13. You need an opinion from someone who has actually tried both. Easy to stick with what's the accepted norm or standard.
I can imagine the frustration of many of these smaller manufacturers that probably have a much better product, but face the darn near impossible task of breaking a monopoly and/or changing the the minds of the consumer.

  14. Agree with Nelson, but I am in a similar boat to you @cookster , I am looking to purchase a TTX but an R3 at approx half the price has got to be worth considering.... and obviously difficult to "try before you buy".

  15. Head to a club race meet and have a wander around. Have a chat to riders too. You'll see a fair share of non ohlins kit, a lot of it just as expensive too :)

  16. I went Nitron because of reviews and price , just bought a Race Pro with remote compression adjuster for my recently purchased 848.

  18. I bought a R3 for my 996, so far im very pleased with the results, done 3 track days and the bike felt very settled, however I am a novice so not pushing the bike to the limit. Beautifully made too. Nice to know the company is UK based for any problems, service etc..
