No Bsb Or Wsbk On Eurosport For 2025

  1. So if you want to watch it, it’s a TNT subscription or I guess a dodgy dongle. Not sure that will help either sport at all….. the Eurosport coverage was great and for example BSB still only got about 200-300k viewers, this will kill it. How do small teams get sponsors

  2. Saw that too today. My cheapie Eurosport-only deal changed to Discovery+ last year and the WSBK & BSB coverage continued unchanged. Just looked at Discovery+ and they're covering the MOTOGP sprint races as well this year for the first time. Hopefully the freebie ITV MOTOGP highlights will remain this year.

  3. Just found this. Not sure what 'existing live BSB coverage' constitutes. In previous seasons, Quest was used as an 'overflow' if BSB and SBK races clashed.

“TNT Sports will also continue to bring more content to fans on Warner Bros. Discovery’s free-to-air channel Quest.

“In 2025, this will include broadcasting every MotoGP Sprint race, adding to existing live Bennetts British Superbikes coverage, a brand-new weekly cycling show covering all key moments of the season, continue highlights of the Giro d’Italia and La Vuelta a Espana, plus premiere a range of new sports documentaries.”

  4. spot on mate, I messaged Offtrack podcast as he’s normally on the ball and he thinks Quest will extend out there coverage. He agrees that BSB behind a paywall makes no sense (even if it kind of is with Sky etc). Let’s see what BSB say in response to this as obviously crash.net love a sensationalised story

  5. We only have a very basic Sky package, but I subscribed to TNT a few years ago, our only add-on, mainly because it's now the only place to watch Gallagher Rugby.
With the added benefit of some sailing content amongst other things.

  6. Its a national disgrace how we have to pay for four different subscriptions (Sky/Eurosport/TNT/Discovery +) to watch the sport we want to and even then you need a fucking dodgy box to watch the 3 o'clock football on a Saturday IN OUR OWN COUNTRY.
So sick of how these rats are continually allowed to fuck us all up the arse unchallenged.

  7. Only issue with Quest is it’s not in HD unless I’m mistaken

  8. If that’s the case, it’s the end of BSB and WSBK in the uk.

  9. You need something called Freeview Play ….. apparently. I’m still none the wiser though. Andy

  10. I am now a little wiser. My top of the range Samsung 8k HD digital TV, needs an extra, specific, set top box. Yes, right, not going to happen :joy: Andy

  11. Depends how you consume Quest I guess. As an HD Sky customer, I have access to Quest in HD.

  12. There are two Quest channels, one is HD so hopefully it will be on there this year

  13. Depends on area and TV. I’m in the south with a modern digital TV, no Quest HD :( Andy

  14. oh, I see, sky has a HD channel but I wasn’t all on the HD one last year. I have no idea what the options are on freeview, I guess this is the point, it’s a massively more restrictive viewing option for people, and will be the death of BSB

  15. Eurosport is being merged with TNT.

Le Tour will only be available on subscription TV this year. ITV no longer have the rights to show highlights.

  16. May sound a bit patronising but…have you checked all the HD channels as some can be hidden….btw my digital aerial tv doesn’t have quest afaik

  17. Yes I have and my ridiculously priced 3 year old 8K Samsung TV doesn’t support Freeview Play without a secondary set top box. Andy

  18. Its an utter shit show (and dont get me started on the length and regularity of ad breaks now).

Sky can do one as well unless you like football or posh school sports you may as well gib it.

Live tennis appears tp be on every fucking day of the year if youre that way inclined though.

  19. Warner bought out BT Sport and Eurosport in 2023 and aligned them with Discovery+. The declared plan was to rebrand Eurosport in the summer of last year but that clearly didn’t happen. I see BT TV has now been rebranded as EE TV. Andy

  20. I’ll see what I can still get for free once the season starts.

Failing that it’s live on a dongle which is not ideal as I prefer to catch up Sunday evening. So that may lead to a subscription.
