Any ideas before I throw in the towel and take it to a dealer? I have flushed all my brake and clutch fluid with new Dot4. The front brake and clutch is fine, however since flushing I have completely lost the rear brake. It is just not building up pressure. So far I have tried: Normal bleed procedure (LEVER DOWN - open valve - close valve - lever up) reverse bleeding with a syringe vacuum with a syringe The lever goes all the way down - it is gripping to the disc but you can still turn the wheel by hand. This is not my first rodeo and I never had problems before on any of my other bikes. Any ideas ?
Undo the caliper mounting bolts and spin the caliper so it's on the top half of the disc. Then bleed it. That way it's higher than the master so the air will eventually find its way to the bleed nipple.
I'd get some clear tube on the nipple and either suck on it (the tube) , or try to pull the liquid through somehow. Are you sure there's no leak anywhere?
Twisting the caliper worked many thanks. I had the caliper off, higher than the master cylinder with no air bubbles what so ever - then I turned it upside down and loads of air came through. All working now.
